Amphibolies are syntactically ambiguous, meaning you can read them in more than one way.

Examples might include: Drunk gets nine months in violin case. Include your children when baking cookies. Prostitutes appeal to Pope. Miners refuse to work after death. Kids make nutritious snacks. Never withhold herpes infection from a loved one.

Now that you know you’ll realize that they are everywhere!  In fact I have a theory that smug newspaper writers, unhappy with their station in life, purposely create them to mock us.
